Jill D. Raznov was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and received her undergraduate degree in 1994 from the University of Pennsylvania in English Literature. Jill relocated to Honolulu in 2000 to attend law school at the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, from which she received her law degree in 2003 and the Environmental Law Certificate.

 

Following graduation, Jill clerked for the Honorable Richard W. Pollack, First Circuit Court, State of Hawaii, who subsequently became a Justice on the Hawaii Supreme Court until his retirement in 2020. From 2004 through 2007, Jill was an associate with the law firm of Ning, Lilly & Jones in Honolulu, concentrating in complex commercial litigation. From 2007 through 2010, Jill served as a staff attorney at the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii in Hilo, providing legal assistance and representation to indigent clients in family, landlord-tenant, and consumer law. In 2011, Ms. Raznov opened her solo general practice, and in 2012, she became Of-Counsel with the Law Offices of Yeh & Moore, now the Law Offices of Yeh & Kim, concentrating her practice in real property, land use, business and contract matters.

 

Jill considers giving back to the community essential and has consistently volunteered her time in numerous capacities, from sitting on community boards (Neighborhood Place of Puna, Puna Community Medical Center, and Ahava `Aina, to name a few) to providing pro bono legal services. Currently, Jill volunteers as a board member with the Hawaii Academy of Arts and Sciences, provides pro bono assistance to clients at the Hilo Self Help Legal Clinic, and serves as a volunteer mediator with Kuikahi mediation center.

 

Jill launched A Bridge to Communication, LLC in January 2022, providing private mediation, facilitation and neutral services to the Big Island community and greater Hawaii.
